Our forward-looking approach to treatment programs for Alzheimer’s care led Senior Living Residences to a formal affiliation with Boston University School of Medicine’s Alzheimer’s Disease Center (BU ADC), whose mission is to be on the cutting edge of research, clinical care and education related to memory loss. Through our affiliation, BU ADC clinicians and faculty provide continuing education and in-service professional training for Senior Living Residences’ management and caregiving staff, as well as local eldercare professional colleagues. Seminars and lectures by BU ADC educate residents and family members about memory loss, dementia, prevention, treatment and caregiving. Senior Living Residences’ residents also gain easy access to the BU ADC’s exciting research program and the opportunity to participate in a variety of clinical research studies, including trials of new treatments. 
New research shows that we can improve brain health and possibly slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias through lifestyle changes, especially dietary changes. Therefore, Senior Living Residences has partnered with internationally recognized Nancy Emerson Lombardo, Ph.D. of Health Care Insights to implement “
