Nancy Emerson Lombardo, Ph.D., “Memory Nutrition” Advisor
Nancy partners with SLR to bring the Memory Preservation Nutrition® Program to SLR communities. She co-founded the National Alzheimer's Association in 1980 and has spent much of her career researching the effects of nutrition on the onset and progression of Alzheimer's disease. She is President of HealthCare Insights and serves as adjunct research assistant professor of neurology at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Eric Steinberg, MSN, RN, CS, CANP, Clinical Consultant
Eric consults with SLR Program Directors on individual resident cases to reduce unnecessary and disruptive hospitalizations. A certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Alzheimer’s, Eric manages the national HOPE Research Study at the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Center.

Brenda Lopes, Armbrook Village, Westfield, MA
Brenda's broad experience working with seniors spans 30 years. For the past decade, she has focused her efforts and expertise on supporting individuals with memory loss. Her true passion is working one on one with residents to help them lower potential stressors and manage negative behaviors by applying stress-reducing techniques and modifications to the environment. Brenda is actively involved with the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Jennifer Hoadley, Compass on the Bay, Boston, MA
Jennifer’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation provides a strong background for her role in Alzheimer’s care and treatment. She most enjoys developing enrichment activity programming, including SLR’s Reconnections Program, leading staff training, and care plan development.

Michelle Boiardi, Compass at Hopkinton, Hopkinton, MA
Michelle comes to SLR with close to ten years experience in providing programs for individuals with memory loss. Michelle strives to show others what is possible for this population and finds discovering the residents’ true potential and abilities to be highly rewarding.  Michelle accomplishes this by offering diverse and creative programming.

Mary Baum, Concord Park, Concord, MA
Mary is a local leader in the New England Alzheimer's care field. She is a founding member of the Alliance of Alzheimer’s Care Directors and a frequent presenter at the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH chapter annual conference. She has a strong interest in working with families and caregivers and has led an Alzheimer’s Support Group for over a decade.

Keri Hickey, Methuen Village, Methuen, MA
A massage therapist with specialized training in compassionate touch for
individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, Keri also brings to SLR the
strong management and staff training skills necessary to create a
professional nurturing environment focused on treating the symptoms of
Alzheimer's.

Audrey Cina, Neville Place, Cambridge, MA
Audrey came to SLR with a broad background in recreational and social programming and counseling for diverse populations of all ages. Her perspectives and talents are uniquely suited to working with the special population of seniors with dementia.
