Standish Village is located in the heart of the historic Lower Mills neighborhood which borders Dorchester, MA, and Milton, MA. Other mill buildings clustered along the Neponset River, including the well-known Baker Chocolate Factory, have also been restored. The neighborhood now includes a variety of retail shops and condominiums. Residents enjoy, within walking distance, an array of dining, shopping and banking services.

Alzheimer's Care

In addition to offering independent living and assisted living for local seniors, Standish Village features a specialized Compass Memory Support Neighborhood for seniors with memory loss and Alzheimer's disease. The Compass Neighborhood, located in a dedicated, secured wing within Standish Village, accommodates only 17 residents, creating an intimate nurturing environment with a high staff-to-resident ratio and an exceptionally personal style of care.

Standish Village serves local seniors from Boston, MA and all throughout greater Boston and the South Shore, MA. Our residents from Boston include Dorchester's many neighborhoods, including Dorchester Center, Neponset, Uphams Corner and Grove Hall, as well as other Boston's other neighborhoods, including Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, and Roslindale, MA. Families living in neighboring towns and cities, including Milton, Randolph, and Quincy, MA find our location to be very convenient. Because of our expertise in Alzheimer’s disease, we also find that people are willing to move from further away. Residents often come here from the South Shore, including the towns of Weymouth, Hingham, Braintree, Cohasset, Scituate, Duxbury, Marshfield, and Rockland, MA.
